Day 01: Luang Prabang – arrival

Day 02: Visit Luang Prabang (B/L/D)
Visit the heart of the city where are the main temples among the fifty that houses Luang Prabang. Vat Visoun, dating from the 16th century, now a museum of religious arts. Vat Aham, XIX, and whose guardians are Hanuman and Yakça, two of the mythical characters of Ramayana. Vat Xieng Thong, XVI, whose architectural elegance makes it the jewel of the city. Mount Phousi, whose temple is at the top of 328 steps and from where you will have a breathtaking view of the Mekong, the Nam Khan River and the Royal City.
Visit the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum and where is housed the “Prabang” the tutelary statue of the city. Also a collection of religious art and gifts offered by the ambassadors to the rulers of Laos.

Day 03 : Luang Prabang- Pak Ou: (B/L)
We depart hotel to the boat landing, and take an excursion (a few hours) by boat upstream on the Mekong to visit Pak Ou cave in the side of a lime stone cliff and opposite of the mouth of the Mekong and Ou rivers. The sanctuaries at Pak Ou consist of two large caves, both repositories for thousands of Buddha images, which range from mere centimeter to two meters in height. En route, Lao typical villages are barely visible behind a screen of foliage. Slender canoes bobbing by the shore, bamboo poles and floats mark the location of nets and fish traps.
Our first stop will be at Ban Muangkeo, a well-known village for Lao traditional rice whisky, namely Laoh-Khao to be distilled. We are welcome to taste it and also take away.
Lunch is served at a riverside restaurant.
We arrive back at Luang Prabang in late afternoon, and continue to drive outskirt of town to visit Ban Xangkhong, a well-known village for its wood paper making and also Lao silk weavings with natural dyes.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 04 : Luang Prabang- Vientiane (B)
Take flight to Vientiane, Welcome at Vientiane airport and transfer to hotel,
Diner and overnight at hotel in Vientiane.
Day 05: Vientiane half day city tour (D)
Today, we visit: The That Luang, the big stupa of the city, symbol of the nation, Wat Sisakhet, Wat Ho Prakéo,
Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 06 : Vientian – Pakse’ – Khong Island (B/D)
Breakfast at hotel then transfer to airport flight to Pakse.
Arrival at Pakse airport meet and proceed to Champassak. Visit Wat Phou, another World Heritage Site in Laos recognized by UNESCO in 2002, this ruin temple was built before Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, which is one of the most ancient Khmer temple architecture dating from the 8-11th century.
Then drive to the sight of Khone Phapheng, which boats South East Asia’s biggest water fall.
Continue to Khong Island. Overnight in Khong Island
Day 07: Khong Island- Khone Island – Khong island (B/L/D)
Full day dedicated to the visit by boat and on foot of this extraordinary archipelago of 4000 small Islands
Visit several of these small islands including Khone where the French had built at the beginning of the last century a small railway to transport goods from the foot of the falls (eight large falls) to the upper reaches of the river. The remains of locomotive and railroad are still visible in the villages or the forest.
Lunch at one of the local restaurants along the Mekong River on Khone Island.
A small bike ride to visit the Li Phi Falls (one of the 8 big falls in the region). Overnight in Khong Island
Day 08: Khong Island – Boloven- Pakse’ (B/L)
After breakfast, travel by road to Boloven plateau where famous tea and coffee plantation and other lush vegetation and red surface of basaltic soil are incredible all along the way. En route, there are some opportunities to explore a part of Boloven plateau and visit some hill villages of the Katu , Alak and Nge ethnic minority people. Visit Tad Fane, Tad Young.
Overnight at Pakse.
Day 09: Pakse’- Departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Pakse’ airport for your flight departure,
